The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is the independent regulator of financial services. The FCA require us to provide you with an Initial Disclosure Document to help you decide if our services are right for you. This document will provide you with information about Kardi Leasing, the products we offer, the services we will provide, what we charge for our services, insurance products, who regulates us, and what to do if you have a complaint

Products we offer

As an FCA regulated credit broker, we may introduce you to a range of finance providers who may be able to provide funding for your vehicle and also provide other services such as vehicle maintenance and servicing packages. We work with a range of funders in order to secure you the best deal. All products are optional.

We may be incentivised by the finance provider who provides the funding for your vehicle for introducing you to them

We will provide you comparable details most appropriate to your needs from multiple funders. To do this we may need seek personal information about your circumstances as this may be relevant in order us to enable us to identify your exact requirements to establish a line of credit. It is extremely important that you provide us with up to date and accurate information so that we can find the product most suitable for you.

What information will we need from you?

 For us to resolve your complaint within our permitted guidelines (detailed below), We request that you provide the following information:

Your full name and contact details
Your vehicle registration (if applicable)
Full details of your complaint
What you would expect as a resolve to this complaint

 

How we will deal with your complaint

We will try and resolve your complaint at local level. However, if you wish to escalate your complaint, this complaint will be passed onto the head of the department the complaint is made too. They will respond to you within 2 business days to gain further information from you and will aim to have a resolution within 5 business days. They may need to contact you in order to gain further information.

Please note, in all cases (whether the vehicle is live or has been returned), the complaint must be made by either the account holder, or someone who has written permission to speak on the account holder’s behalf. Anyone who is not a registered person on this account we will not enter into correspondence with.

 

Within 5 business days we will thoroughly investigate your complaint (in line with the FCA Complaints rules) and send a Final Response to you.

 

Closing of complaints

After you have received and acknowledged our Final Response, we will then consider this matter closed. In closing this complaint, this does not prevent you from exercising your right to refer the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service or the BVLRA

 

What to do if you are not satisfied the outcome

If you have a regulated contract (private individual)  and are not satisfied by our Final Response, you can refer the matter to the Financial Ombudsman or the BVRLA

BVRLA

As a Leasing Broker and member of the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (BVRLA) you may refer any unresolved disputes to them.

The BVRLA will investigate potential breaches of the BVRLA Code of Conduct and will aim to resolve matters using information presented by both parties to the dispute. Any information the BVRLA requests from us will be sent to the BVRLA within 5 business days. The BVRLA will provide both parties with its findings and recommendations within 30 days.

What we charge for our services

 

Procesing fees: We do not charge our clients processing fees. We operate on a commission basis, which means that we may receive a benefit from credit providers should you decide to enter into an agreement with us. The commission amounts may be variable or pre-determined depending on the product and or volume that we place with the chosen supplier.

 

Contract Extension: At the end of your agreement and subject to approval by the credit provider, you may be able to extend your contract. Kardi leasing charges a fee of £100 exc vat for this service. This service fee is payable via credit/debit card or a bank transfer. Please note that this option is not available with all funders, your sales representative will be able to advise

 

Contract Mileage Amendments: Subject to approval from the credit provider, any contract amendments will be charged at a fee of £100 exc vat. 

 

Transfer Of Contract: Please note that this is not available on all contracts. Where this option is available we charge a fee of £250 exc vat which is paid to Kardi leasing as an administration fee. Depending on the credit provider secondary fees may vary, this will be set out in your contract. 

 

Cherished Number Plates: Kardi can assist in assigning cherished numberplates to your vehicle for a fee of £25 exc vat. please note that this request should be made before delivery is recieved. 

 

Cancellation Fee: In accordance with the consumer rights regulations, regulated customers have the right to cancel without penalty within 14 calendar days from the point of order.

If you cancel your order before signing the contract hire agreement there will be a cancellation fee of £200 including vat. This is to cover the cost of services provided to this point.

If you cancel your agreement after signing the contract hire agreement there will be a cancellation fee of £300 including vat. If delivery has been booked this can be increased up to £500 including vat to cover the cost of an aborted delivery fee.

Terms used in personal contract hire:




Term: This is the duration of your contract. This is generally 24, 36, 48 or 60 months. Additional charges may apply if you
terminate this contract early. Each credit provider has different ways of dealing with early termination fees, this will be
outline on your personal contract hire agreement.

Annual Mileage: This is the set mileage of the contract. If this mileage has been exceeded, you will be liable for excess mileage fees

Excess Mileage: This is a figure, generally expressed in pence per mile (PPM) that you will pay for each mile driven above
your contract mileage.

Initial Rental: This is the first payment made as part of your contract hire agreement. This is usually the equivalent of 1,3,6
or 9 months payments. This payment is generally taken 10 working days after delivery of the vehicle. This is non-refundable.
Monthly rental: The fixed monthly amount to be paid. This is inclusive of vat @ 20% and is taken by direct debit.

Total rental: The cost per month including and extras such as a maintenance package.

Missed payments: If you miss a payment, additional interest and fees may be charged and this may also impact your credit
file and your ability to obtain credit in the future. Late payments may also result in termination of the contract with all
remaining payments due.

Maintenance: You are responsible for the routine maintenance, servicing and MOT responsibilities of the vehicle. If you opt
for a maintenance package this will all, be covered by the lease provider with the exception of damage caused by vehicle
misuse.

Pre-registered Vehicle: For pre-registered vehicles, you will be entitled to the balance of manufacturers warranty from the
date of registration. This vehicle may have been registered months prior to delivery so you may find yourself liable for any
repairs that are due outside of the warranty period. MOT costs will also be your responsibility as this is due 3 years form the
date of first registration. A maintenance pack will cover all cover all of these costs.

Returning the vehicle: At the end of the agreement the vehicle must be returned to the finance company, there is no option
to purchase. The vehicle will be inspected, and you will be charged for any damage that falls outside what is deemed fair
wear and tear. The BVRLA fair wear and tear document will be issued to you before the end of your agreement, and it is
available to you anytime online or upon request.

AdBlue: AdBlue is an emissions additive used in modern diesel vehicles. Vehicles can take up to 20L of AdBlue per fill and
this may need to be replenished every 5,000 miles, depending on the vehicle. An AdBlue factsheet is available from our sales
team and the cost of AdBlue must be considered when leasing a diesel vehicle.

DPF: This is a filter in the exhaust of a diesel vehicle used to control the amount of particulate released into the atmosphere.
A DPF can cause issues if your driving habits are not best suited to a diesel vehicle. Please read our DPF factsheet before
leasing a diesel vehicle

Home EV Charge point: If you have leased an EV vehicle and have the appropriate home parking arrangement we can provide
you with the documentation required to obtain a home charging point while claiming the OLEV grant.
